How do I get a stubborn child to go to bed?
I'm babysitting for a family tomorrow that I have not babysat for since June. Last time I babysat, it was completely impossible to get the youngest child, a six year old boy now seven to go to bed. Granted, it's been awhile and maybe it'll be easier to get him to sleep now, but I used to be a nanny for them and I know that he's quite stubborn and does not always like to listen. Also, his older sisters get to stay up later so he feels it is unfair that he has to go to bed first.Anyway, last time I could not get him to go to sleep whatsoever, his two sisters even tried helping me and they said it is always tough for him to go to bed . He did not go to bed until his sister accidentally hurt him and he ran to his bed crying. I went and read him a story, but then he kept arguing about wanting to call his mom I said no, they were at a party , then he wanted to write them a note.. and got out of bed and went downstairs even though I said he needed to go to bed. I usually do not have too much trouble to get kids to bed, I am a very nice babysitter but I can be strict when I need to be, but it was quite difficult with him. How can I get him to go to sleep? Should I call his mom if I have issues getting him to bed?

How do you stay awake while in bed?

How to convince mum to buy me a double/queen bed? Im 15!?
Sooo Im 15 and all my friends have double beds yet im stuck with a tiny single bed. Mum just recently last year brought me a new SINGLE bed, but im getting too old for a single bed I figured my sister could have my single bed because she needs a new bed anywaysHow can i convince her?

When I was young an old woman used to sit on my bed and whisper things to me?
When I was little and would stay at my aunts house across the country, I stayed in the guest room. I hated the guest room and was scared of it, the room just looked creepy.Almost every night when I tried to sleep, an old woman would sit on the end of the bed and whisper things to me. I just stared at her and had to listen, like I was hypnotized. I don't remember what she said.I don't know who the old woman was but it certainly wasn't my aunt because she was there alone. I can't sleep anymore and even 30 years later, when I try and sleep all I see is the old womans horrible face.

I don't want to go to bed. Help?
My boyfriend and I live together with our amazing one year old son. My boyfriend works third shift from 2am 9am. I am currently unemployed and stay at home with our son. I miss working but I love being home with my family. When I worked I had a routine of going to bed at ten and waking up at 6. After the baby that changed a little. Now he is one and on a strict schedule he sleeps from 9 9 My boyfriend sleeps in the living room on the floor since Thanksgiving bc we have a bad mattress on our bed and I sleep alone in the bedroom. I hate going to bed alone so I tend to stay up until he leaves for work and sometimes I lay awake all night. I don't think it is healthy for me but I don't want to go to bed. I force myself sometimes but I will just lay there thinking of things I could be doing. I think I enjoy the alone time. I should also mention I don't get out of the house too often just to go grocery shopping or visit my parents 30 minutes away about once every other weekend. What could I do to get myself in bed earlier and how can I get my boyfriend back in bed?

At what age is it okay for a child sleep in the parents bed?
i just had a baby. he is only 3 weeks old. i love holding him while he sleeps. most of the time he sleeps in a bassinet right next to my bed when im not holding him not asleep but watching tv or other awake activities like now on y.answers when he outgrows the basinete his crib will still be in my room. idk how ill be able to just move him to another room as a little boy. so i would like to have him sleep with me in my bed but at what age is that okay. my niece wll be 3 in 2 months and she sleeps with her mom. can they share a bed any younger than that?

How do you put a 3 year old to bed with out him puking?
My roommate has a 3 year old son who is terrible when it comes to going to bed. He fights it tooth and nail and makes himself so upset that he pukes. My roommate has no problem letting him cry himself to sleep if necessary but he has to keep changing the sheets and blankets because his kid pukes. I've ran out of ideas to tell him and so has his girlfriend who is a mother of two.

Opinions on my youngest and bedding?

Sleeping 90 minutes after school but going to bed 3 hours later.?
I read somewhere that sleeping helps consolidate your learning and that 90 minute naps can get you all of the best things about a nap and to REM sleep. It also said that each 2 hours your awake should be an hour of sleep.So would it be effective to sleep for 90 minutes when i get home from school before i do any home work and then stay up a further 3 hours than i usually wood.
