What books would you suggest for an 8 month old?
I'm trying to get my daughter interested in reading. I got a great answer on one of my other questions with a couple of recommendations for books...Just wondering, which books would YOU suggest?Or books for later on
Recommendations on historical fiction books, preferably interesting to teens?
We have to read a historical fiction novel for English, we get to choose but I'm not really sure what are some good historical fiction books. I'm more of a fantasy modern day realistic fiction person. So, got any recommendations for a good historicial fiction book? I'm a teen so maybe something that a teen would like. I'm not the biggest fan of Amercian history maybe because we've learned and relearned the same events so many times so yeah.. Thanks
I hate watching TV. I hate watching movies. I hate reading books. Is this normal?
HELP i have no patience. I hate stories. I don't even have the patience to watch TV or watch movies anymore. And reading's even worse. When I was little I didn't mind stories but now I have the SHORTEST attention span.I'd rather listen to music and browse the Internet looking up random things than sit down and watch a story drug out.Even in film class, we literally sit there and the teacher plays a movie and I'll just stare at the screen but I won't be following the story at all. i'll be thinking about random things and i won't pay attention.I think this is a serious problem, because I have to read for English class and I hate it i just want to listen to dance around to my IPod all day. HELP What do I do? Is this normal or is it a problem?no matter what i read or watch, even if it's something considered " interesting" ...I'll get bored with it.oh and i hate homework. i always put it off. id rather sleep.

Teens i need your help with choosing a birthday present book for 13 year old girl?
hello teens, i need your help. it's my daughter's 13th birthday today and she wants a new book but when i asked her which one she just said that she really loved the twilight books and would like something along those lines or one that has the same kind of pace because it kept her interested.if you have read the twilight books and have also read some other books that you enjoyed just as much or even more can you please list them, name of the book s and author. i'm leaving in about an hour to go to the bookshop so hope that i will get plenty of suggestions...thanks for your help.ps. she has more of a tomboy personality, not girlygirl at all, if that is any help.i know i could ask the people at the bookshop, the problem with that is the fact that those people are also adults like myself and no matter how may books they have sold they cannot truly know which books you teens really enjoy most. the clerk could simply tell me that a particular book is popular just because it's a slow seller and he want's to get rid of a copy...that's the reason i'm asking here and not the shop assistant at the bookshop.

Should i buy my son this book?
now that me and my fiance are going to try for a baby in spril nearly 4 years together , my 6 year old son has become curious as to how babies are made. he asked how they get out of your bally so i said" you push really hard and they pop out" he said " out of your belly?" so i said " no, out of your tuppence" , n he accepted it. but now he is askin how babies get in the belly, so i said from " mummy and daddy cuddles" . he only really Half accepted that answer. he wants to know how babies get inside tummies so i am considering buyingn him a book called " how babies come home, no its not the stork" wich explains sex, love, emotions, and boy and girl differences. for age 6 8, do u think i should? thanks xx
