I need a baby comforter made out of satin??!!?
My baby who is 16 months old has taken a huge liking for satin and nothing else will do for her to snuggle up to at night. I want to buy her a proper satin comforter but cant find one online. I know I could make it but sewing isnt my strong point. so any ideas of a website i could find a satin comforter or silk would probably be ok too?sorry i should have said i am in the uk, any websites from the uk?

Does your baby sleep with a comforter/ large blanket?
I know this is a dumb question. But since day one I've been co sleeping with my little one so that I could breastfeed during the night. Anyways, my goal is to have him sleeping by himself in his crib by the time he is 6 months old. But we live up north and it is SUPER cold. Even with the heater on lots of cold air seeps in through the large windows we have. I figure since he sleeps with us and uses our comforter he should be fine in his crib, right? Im obviously concerned or I wouldnt be asking before I made the attempt. Also for those who live in the cold areas, what do you do?I also wanted to add that he is 5 mths today and that he can roll VERY easily in both directions.

Questions about sleep associations/ comforters...?
My son is 3 months old and can self settle to sleep. In order to do so, he needs to be swaddled. This can be a bit tricky when we are in the pram or we are caught out and about without a sheet wrap.I have been told to stop wrapping him before 4 months because of the SIDS danger rolling onto his tummy while wrapped . I know that in order to do this, we leave one arm out for 3 days, then the other arm, etc. This may sound silly, but I am wondering how my little one will know when how to sleep when we no longer wrap him. At the moment he just cries and cries until he is wrapped, and then once wrapped in a matter of minutes he sleeps. 1. If I stop wrapping him, do I need to should I provide another sleep association?2. Should I introduce a comforter? 3. If so, at how long will it take to work become the sleep association for my son?4. Any other suggestions for letting my little one know its time to sleep both at home and when out and about? Please answer as many of the above questions as possible. Thank you Alissa my child's health nurse told me to stop and I have also read it in a few baby books. Apparently its a SIDs thing. When do you think you will you stop wrapping your LO? Do they roll while wrapped? Im a first time mum so this is all new to me.I don't want my boy to rely on being wrapped to sleep. He gets so tired and becomes quite distressed when out and about, until I wrap him. Should I just keep wrapping him then?

When can you start to add blankets/comforters to your babies crib/play pen?
Our baby is 9 months old and very mobile....he crawls, is cruising furniture and uses a push walker. So, I think that he is past the danger stage where he would get a blanket stuck over his face, correct? I am wondering because he sleeps in his play pen and the mattress that comes with it seems so hard and uncomfortable. I would not want to nap on it either. So, I was wondering if I could begin to put more soft blankets down to cushion it a bit? A what age can you begin to do this without fear of suffocation or SIDS?Thank you

Ideas of what to do with crib comforter?
The comforter is just one of those things that you don't really use right away, if at all. At least that is how I felt with my son because it is just too heavy and you can't tuck them in, now that he is 3 I use it during the winter time a little. Right now we are preparing for our second baby and I am trying to think of ideas to use the comforter for because I think it is really cute. I though I could hang it on the wall but I don't really want to put pins through it to hang it. Any ideas? What did you use yours for?

Do baby comforters need to be cleaned before use?

Is it safe to use lamb wool comforters for newborns?
I've heard lamb wool comforters are too heavy for newborns and can lead to baby suffocation. Also I've heard babies shouldn't be using pillows for a while. However, my mother in law insists i use them. I would like to prove her wrong. Any opinions?

Baby sleeping comforters? no objects?
the baby i babysit is being taken off of its pacifiershe is almost 2we have noticed she doesn't like objects around her while she sleeps like a comfort blanket or stuffed animalshe likes to play with my hair when i put her to sleepbut im not always there to put her to sleepher dad has short short buzz cut hairand her mom has really short hair alsowhich doesn't comfort her like mine does so they end up giving her a pacifierwhat other things could we do?sometimes she sucks her thumb in place of a pacifierand she has baby fuzz hair so she cant play with her own?

What to do with the comforter?!?
so we just got through putting up the crib, and putting the bedding in it..i got the carebear bed in a bag. and in the lil picture on the front it has the comforter hanging up on the wall behind the crib. at first i just figured that it was so you could see what was on it...but really...it just seems like there isnt much of a use for it besides decoration. i know you are supposed to make sure the blanket in the bed is tucked all the way down under the end of the mattress to make sure the baby doesnt suffocate. so what is the use of the comforter? its not a good size to do much of anything with

When you transferred your baby to a Toddler Bed - did you give them a comforter to sleep with?
When you transferred your baby to a Toddler Bed, did you give them a Comforter to sleep with? Or only a pillow and sheet s ? a 's ifee

Baby sleeps on top of comforter?
We were visiting friends, and I had to put my 5 month old down for a nap in their baby's crib. They have the comforter on top of the mattress, and said they put their 4 month old to sleep on top of it. What would be the logic behind this? and is it not risky if they were to roll onto their belly and bury their face in the blanket??? My son can roll over both ways on his own, but sometimes when he falls asleep on his belly, his face is buried right in the bed, so I roll him over...
