My brother-in-law spray painted my infant son?
So my husband's older brother has always been, for lack of a better phrase, " pure trouble." He and I have never gotten along, and I've done my best to keep him away from my husband and out of our family affairs.So yesterday afternoon while I was at the office he evidently showed up at my house with a case or three of beer and began binge drinking with my self employed husband. The things is... my husband is a recovering alcoholic.Anyway, one thing apparently led to another and somehow my brother in law got a hold of some spray paint we were storing in the attached garage and began trashing the house. He spray painted the walls, the windows, the upstairs shower, my daughter's car, and eventually began spray painting the nursery.As if this wasn't bad enough, during his drunken spray painting rampage he ended up accidentally getting some paint on my four month old son as he slept in his crib. He painted a significant portion of the back of my son's neck and head.Fortunately, the pediatrician said that my son is fine and won't suffer any ill effects. You wouldn't even believe the story I had to come up with to explain the situation to the doctor. Despite the fact that my son is going to be fine, this is absolutely NOT an acceptable situation.I'd like nothing more than to press charges, but my husband is doing his best to talk me out it. At the very least he should be banned from ever coming to our home again, right? My husband insists that I'm totally overreacting.My brother in law outright refuses to even apologize, let alone pay for the damages medical costs.How should I handle this situation?

Signs of diabetes in infants?
all the sites I read state one symptom of diabetes in infants is drinking and urinating a lot more than normal. So what is considered a lot? My son is 7 weeks and can drink 12 ounces in an hour and a half at times. He also has pretty heavy diapers, but I would expect that considering how much he eats. He spits up often. He's not underweight and is actually a pretty big boy about 13 lbs already . Do you think he just eats so much because he's a big baby? I've just never seen a baby his age eat so much. My other son was also a big baby, but still didn't eat so much. I'm not overly worried, just curious and looking for information.

Someone is trying to sell a car seat that he swears is front and rear facing, it is a carrier and comes with a base that he says the base just turns around and makes the seat face forward. Now I am not going to buy it but I was just curious, is there really one out there? Or is he just putting kids in danger?

Infant fails to thrive?
A family comes in to seek help for their 6 month old infant. The child appeared healthy at birth and weighed 7.2 pounds. Since then she has gained weight very slowly and now appears to be losing weight. You notice that the child has a slight blue tinge to her skin and seems very inactive or lethargic for a 6 month old. The parents add that the child usually has a low body temperature, doesn't feed well and has been treated for dehydration once before. She also has occasional bouts of mild diarrhea. The staff at the public health office needs to determine whether the child needs more assistance for her apparent illness and, if so, what type of physician or medical care is appropriate.
