At what point is it starving your newborn?
When I was trying to breastfeed no latch was established and I pumped for awhile the travelling nurse told me no more bottles and just to offer my breast only. Well.. easy for her to say. I have extremely flat nipples and she never latched. But my question is.. if I only had offered my breast and had kept trying and she was not getting any sort of nourishment, at what point does that become child abuse? When would it become a case of I was starving my baby?

Do you think this is cute for a newborn babies crib?

Is it okay to have a newborn sleep in the same bed ss you and your partner?
I don't want the baby to be come dependent. It should have its own place and we should have ours I feel

My husband seems like he resents our newborn daughter?
My husband and I have a 6 week old baby girl. My husband really seemed to bond with her in the hospital and as soon as we came home it was like he wanted nothing to do with her. We also have a 4 year old son and he was great with him, he helped me get up with him at night, held him during the day and played with him a lot. But with our daughter it's another story, she's a difficult baby, she does cry a lot, but I still love her with all my heart, and I don't feel like he feels the same way. He stays up late at night so I've asked him several times if he would let her stay in the living room with him so I could catch a few hours of sleep and he refuses, he never holds her, he never feeds her, he only does stuff if I get mad and make it a point that he does nothing. Even when I can convince him to feed her or something I'll walk back in the room only to find the baby laying on the couch with a bottle propped in her mouth with my husband sitting right next to her. Tonight I bought her a mobile because she loves looking at things, when I laid her in her bed and showed her to mobile, I told my husband to look look at her and see how much she liked it and he said it didn't matter because she would just start crying again. It breaks my heart for my daughter, I almost feel like he doesn't love her. He makes comments about how she doesn't like him because she cries all the time when he holds her. But he doesn't try with her. I just hate that he's missing out on such precious months of her life. Did anyone else go through this? Did your husband come around? Did you go through this?

Is 21 years old too young to be a mother of a newborn baby?
I'm currently 20 years old, I'am 3 months pregnant, married to a wonderful man, and i will be turning 21 years old a month before having my baby. I had to quit my job because of the chemicals I worked with, and as for college I lost interest, just because My husband doesnt want me to work he just wants me to be home and take care of myself. We are currently living in my parents house for now until WE finish paying our debts and get on our feet. But to be honest I dont want to leave my nest I want to continue living with my parents, and meanwhile I can go back to collage and get to work to provide extra comfort for my baby. My husband and i are also saving his money for our baby. But i just feel like a fat pregnant useless mom at home without an education and without emplyment. I know i should have waited to have a baby , i know i should be in collage, i know i should have a job. I could care less about having fun in life, been there done that Im just kinda upset, not that im going to be a young mom BUT that i have nothing done in life i think being a mom is not about my age but my curcumstances, i think thats why i feel like a young mom I provided extra information to get a closer view of what my life is like so perhaps someone can relate to what im going through and give some advice? But please still answer my question 'Is 21 years old too young to be a mother of a newborn baby?' not judging it by my curcumstances though Lol

i have a week old newborn and i dont like sleeping when he does because ive been told im a heavy sleeper and wount wake up if he does and starts crying. i dont get much help at home, he has a crib he sleeps in. anyone else feel this way when their newborn sleeps?

When is it ok to leave your newborn with others while working?
I moved from kanasas to california to relax during pregnancy which was the dumbest mistake now my only focus is getting back and getting my life on track school, work, etc but everyone is telling me I'm moving too fast and that I should wait some say wait a year others say six months so I won't have to leave my baby and I need to spend that long nursing him and I don't need to be traveling with him but other women do this should I wait if so how long?

My newborn won't sleep on her own only in my arms?
my 3 week newborn won't sleep unless i'm holding her. even when she's sound asleep and i put her down she wakes up 10 minutes later. how do i get her to stay sleeping on her own? I always swaddle her but that doesn't work ... I'm going insane cuz I can't get anything done

Am i feeding my newborn right?
i give him formula every 3 hours and in between if he's fussy i give him 10 mins of breast milk. i do this because i dont produce enough. He seems ok with it and his pediatrician says its ok..but then again they arent lactation experts. he's 11 days oldhe started on formula when he was born, i had a c section and there were complications, i lost a lot of blood and didnt have the strength to feed him so my mom took over with formula for two days.ok then, i want to start from scratch now..his next feeding should be at 12.....what do i do?? Breastfeed it is, and 30 mins on each one should be good right??? then if hes still hungry then ill give him a bit of the formula....sound good? and once hes full, the next two hours ill try this again, until my milk supply goes up. good?

People visiting newborn baby, is kinda getting on my nerves?My wife and I had our daughter on the 30th. Well, I'm happy and proud..but my wife lets everyone who wants to see the baby come in. I don't want to be mean, but we're not getting any sleep, and I don't want germs around the baby. I just want it to be the three of us for a couple days without visitors. My wife wants everyone who wants to see her, see her..But how do you politely turn down visitors for at least one day? Or do you have any suggestions?
