Is 27 weeks to early to have a baby shower?
I am 18 weeks right now and I will be finding out the baby's gender on Feb. 10th. My mom has a week of vacation at the end of March so she was hoping to get the baby shower done during here vacation. I have been reading that you should wait until 8 months but I would like to have more time to organize the nursery and get stuff that we didn't get as gifts. What do you think?

My boyfriend and I are planning to get a very safe car seat for our baby that would also hook onto a stroller. These tend to be expensive. Is.it okay to have a donation tree or box at the baby shower to fund for an expensive item like that?

I would prefer to have it in Southfield, MI., because it is a central location for my guest. However, at this point I am willing to have it in West Bloomfield, Novi, Farmington Hills or Oak Park. Any location ideas? I want to cater the shower myself. All of the facilities I have contacted make you use their catering service.

I don't want a baby shower. Am I being selfish?
My son is sixteen months. I'm sixteen weeks along with baby number two and next week I'll be finding out the sex of the baby. My best friend and godmother of my son and the future baby threw me a shower first time around. She wants to throw me a shower now that I'm pregnant again. If it's a girl, I said I'd be okay with it because I don't have any girl stuff and while showers aren't about gifts, that would be the only circumstance I'd be okay with it. But if it's a boy and I'm pretty positive it's going to be , I have a bunch of stuff left over from my son. And I am going to be buying a few new things if it is a boy, but I just don't see a point in yet another baby shower. My mother, however, is saying that I'm being selfish and that it's not up to me since baby showers aren't put together by the pregnant woman. Obviously if they make it a surprise I won't storm out and be ungrateful, I just don't see the point in it all. I am grateful that my friend wants to throw me on, but I just don't want one if it's a boy. I have boy stuff and I'm pretty much set. My best friend understands but really wants to throw me one. I just don't see the point in having a baby shower if I'm having a boy because I already have a bunch of boy stuff I am so grateful for my friends and family that want to support me, but they can give me emotional support. Attributes for Baby Shower game?
We are going to play the attribute game at my friend's baby shower. I need about 25 and only have about 20. You play by giving everyone a list of attributes and having them mark if they think mom would want the baby to have daddy's or mommy's ears, eyes etc. Then you tell them what mom said and person who guessed the most correctly wins.
